  • TIDE is now open for the 2018-19 school year. As part of the system roll-over for the new school year all user passwords have been reset. All users will need to complete the steps below to create a new password.

    1. From the NMAPA portal, select any assessment and navigate to the TIDE login page. Select the "Request a new one for this school year" link just below the login prompt.
    2. On the “Reset Your Password” page, enter the email address you use for all NMAPA systems and select the ‘Submit’ button.
    3. An email (from AIRAST-DoNotReply@airast.org) which contains a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address associated with the account. This link must be accessed within 15 minutes or you will need to restart the password reset process.
    4. Within 15 minutes, select the link in the email and follow the on-screen prompts to create a new password. Press the ‘Submit’ button. 
    New in 2018-2019: Upon login to TIDE, an “Enter Code” page may appear. An authentication code will automatically be sent to your email address. You must enter this code into the “Enter Emailed Code” field and select the ‘Submit’ button, within five minutes of receiving the authentication code email. Throughout the school year, returning users who access TIDE from a new device or browser, or who have cleared the cache on a previously-used browser, will be required to receive an emailed code after entering their username and password via the secure login prompt.
     
    All users who had access to AIR systems in 2017-2018 will continue to have access this year, after the above procedure has been followed to reset their password. If a user should no longer have an account, their test coordinator should follow the process in the TIDE user guide, found in the Resources section of the NMAPA portal, to remove their system access. Please contact the New Mexico Help Desk at (800) 254-6130 or nmhelpdesk@air.org with any questions, or if you need additional assistance with your password.

  • Opening of TIDE for User Management and Student Pre-ID
    TIDE will open for the NMAPA Fall 2018 Administration on Wednesday, August 1. As of August 1, all those with TIDE accounts will be able to log into TIDE to begin adding users and adding or uploading students for Pre-ID labels.

    If a district did not administer the Spring 2018 NMAPA and therefore did not log into the new TIDE, the District Test Coordinator will need to contact the New Mexico Help Desk in order to receive a password reset to their email to log in to the system and set their new password.

    Test Administrators MUST be added into TIDE in order to participate in the Fall 2018 Online Test Administrator Training, which opens August 27.

    Online Test Administrator Training
    Starting August 27, the Online Test Administration Training course will be accessible through the NMAPA Portal. This course takes the place of in-person training and will review the following information in five modules:

    1. Eligibility and important information for the NMAPA
    2. Determining Starting and Stopping Points for the NMAPA
    3. Administering and Scoring the NMAPA
    4. Entering Scores for the NMAPA Viewing NMAPA Score Reports
    5. Test Administrators will have to sign into TIDE for their certification to be tracked. Test Coordinators will be able to view online if Test Administrators are certified as trained to deliver the NMAPA assessment.

    If a Test Administrator attended the in-person NMAPA training within the last two years, they will not be required to take the online training. However, all Test Administrators are encouraged to take the online training to acclimate themselves to the new TIDE system and receive a refresher on how the assessment is delivered.

    Information for Fall 2018

    • American Institutes for Research (AIR) is the testing vendor for ALL subjects this year - ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies for Grades 12-12+. All score data will be input into Student Score Forms.
    • There will be no second raters.  
    • After the administration has closed, districts will be billed $75.00 per Student Score Form ordered during the Initial and Additional TIDE Ordering Windows, regardless of whether these Student Score Forms were used. The DTC will receive a bill of $75.00 per student, not per subject. Information regarding submitting purchase orders will be sent when the Initial Ordering Window opens.

  • The Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) will be closing for the NMAPA Spring 2018 Administration. On April 20 all those with TIDE accounts will not be able to log into TIDE to add users and/or upload students for Pre-ID labels. The Online Reporting System (ORS) will remain open for access to student scores.

    If a district did not administer the Spring 2018 NMAPA and therefore did not log into the new TIDE, the District Test Coordinator will need to contact the New Mexico Help Desk in order to receive a password reset to their email and access TIDE for the Fall 2018 administration. We highly recommended that DTC’s access the portal before April 20 to set up their login credentials. This will streamline the process when the ordering window for Fall 2018 opens in August.

  • Test Administration Window Closing

    The Spring 2018 NMAPA test administration window closes Friday, April 6. Please familiarize yourself with the Test Administration Manual (TAM) and/or District Test Coordinator Manual to ensure all NMAPA procedures are followed, including proper preparation of testing materials after test administration for pickup by April 11.

    Scheduling UPS Pickup Deadline

    DTCs must schedule a UPS pickup of all NMAPA secure test material by Monday, April 9. The UPS pickup must occur by Wednesday, April 11.

    • Name and contact information (e.g. phone number, email address)
    • District name and ID
    • Pickup address and specific location (e.g. front office, loading dock, etc.)
    • The tracking number on the return shipping label
    • The number of packages being picked up
    • Date and time of pickup (UPS cannot provide same-day pickups)

    Test administrators should return all NMAPA secure test materials to their DTC by Friday, April 6.

    Late Orders

    The Spring 2018 NMAPA additional order window closed Friday, March 23. If personnel from a school in your district find that they still need test materials, please contact the New Mexico Help Desk at 1-800-254-6130 or NMHelpDesk@air.org to place a late order, since the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) ordering system has closed. Late orders will cost $150.00. Districts will be billed $150.00 per Student Score Form ordered late, regardless of whether these Student Score Forms are used. The DTC will receive a bill of $150.00 per student, not per subject.

  • Test Administration Window Opening

    The Spring 2018 NMAPA test administration window opens Monday, March 12 and will close Friday, April 6. Please familiarize yourself with the Test Administration Manual (TAM) and/or District Test Coordinator Manual before test administration to ensure all NMAPA procedures are followed, including proper preparation of testing materials for pickup after test administration.

    Additional Order Window

    The Spring 2018 NMAPA additional order window opened Monday, March 5 and will close Friday, March 23. If personnel from a school in your district find that they need additional test materials, please place an order before March 23.

    To order additional test materials, you will need to access the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) ordering system.  From the NMAPA portal (http://nmapa-portal.org) click the “Test Coordinators” button and click “TIDE.”

    In TIDE, you will be able to order the following materials:

    • Student Score Form (order 1 per student taking the NMAPA)
    • 1 TA Kit per two teachers in a grade band (3-5, 6-8, 10-11)
    • DTC Kit, containing a DTC manual, return labels, and information on receiving and returning materials
    • STC Kit, containing information specifically for School Test Coordinators
    • Student Score Form Return Envelopes (1 envelope holds 10 Student Score Forms)

    Districts will be billed $75.00 per Student Score Form ordered before March 23, regardless of whether these Student Score Forms are used. The DTC will receive a bill of $75.00 per student, not per subject. After the close of the additional ordering window on March 23, any late orders placed via the Help Desk (since TIDE will be closed) will be increased in price from $75.00 to $150.00 per Student Score Form.

  • Initial Ordering Window Closing

    The Spring 2018 NMAPA initial ordering window is closing Thursday, February 8. Before the window closes, you will need to access the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) ordering system to place your NMAPA test material orders for the upcoming administration. From the NMAPA portal (http://nmapa-portal.org) click the “Test Coordinators” button and click “TIDE”.

    After logging into TIDE, you will be able to order the following materials:

    ·        Student Score Forms

    ·        1 TA Kit per two teachers in a grade band (3-5, 6-8, 10-11)

    ·        DTC Kit, containing a DTC manual, return labels, and information on receiving and returning materials

    ·        STC Kit, containing information specifically for School Test Coordinators

    ·        Student Score Form Return Envelopes (1 envelope holds 10 Student Score Forms)

    Materials ordered by February 8 will be delivered to districts on February 26.  If you require additional testing materials, the additional ordering window will open on Monday, March 5.

The DTC will receive a bill of $75.00 per student, not per subject.     Purchase Orders

    Once you have finalized your order in TIDE, please submit an approved purchase order (P.O.) from your billing office to cover the costs of student test materials ordered for your district to the New Mexico Help Desk. Upon request we can supply your school district with a copy of our W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification).

    For your billing office’s reference, the New Mexico contract with AIR can be found on the NMAPA Portal at under “Resources”.

    Please send requests for the W-9 information directly to our New Mexico Help Desk at NMHelpDesk@air.org.

    AIR will send you an invoice by email following the end of the administration’s additional ordering window. The invoice will reflect the cost of all student score forms ordered during the initial ordering window, the additional ordering window, and any late orders submitted through the Help Desk. Payment of all invoices will be due within 30 days of their receipt.

    The approved district P.O. for the 2017-2018 assessment cycle should contain the following information:

    ·        P.O. Box Number

    ·        Quantity to order

    ·        Amount to invoice

    ·        District/school code

    ·        Billing address

    ·        Billing contact

    ·        Email for e-billing invoice Phone and fax number

    Online Test Administrator Training

This course takes the place of in-person training and consists of five modules that cover the following information:

    Test Administrators are required to take the online training if they have not had training in the past two years. Test Administrators who received training in Spring 2016 or more recently do not need to take training in advance of the Spring 2018 administration. If a Test Administrator attended the in-person NMAPA training within the last two years, they will not be required to take the online training. The training will help experienced Test Administrators, however, by acclimating them to the new TIDE system and providing a refresher on how the assessment is delivered. Test Administrators who completed the training in-person should contact the HelpDesk to provide a copy of their certificate.

    Test Administrators MUST have a Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) account to take this online training. Test Administrators' accounts can be created by District Test Coordinators or designated School Test Coordinators.

    Test Administrators will have to sign into TIDE for their certification to be tracked. Test Coordinators will be able to view online if Test Administrators are certified as trained to deliver the NMAPA assessment.

  • This is a reminder for District School Test Coordinators, School Test Coordinators and Test Administrators to make sure all student information in TIDE is accurate. Students not loaded into TIDE will not not be in ORS to receive a score report for Spring 2018.

  • The Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) Student Information Feature will close on January 16 for the NMAPA Spring 2018 Administration for internal updates. During this time, districts will be unable to add/upload students into TIDE. This feature will reopen on January 23. The closing of the Student Information Feature will not affect any other features for DTCs within TIDE.

    If you have already added or uploaded students into TIDE, that information will need to be verified after the initial upload from PED occurs.

    • We are field testing new items - in addition to the regular task blocks (1-6, 3-9, 6-12), all students, regardless of level, are required to be administered tasks 13-15.
    • There will be second raters. 
    • After the administration has closed, districts will be billed $75.00 per Student Score Form ordered during the Initial and Additional TIDE Ordering Windows, regardless of whether these Student Score Forms were used. The DTC will receive a bill of $75.00 per student, not per subject. Information regarding submitting purchase orders will be sent when the Initial Ordering Window opens.

  • Online Reporting System (ORS) Opening Thursday, December 7
    The NMAPA is now offering online access to score reports and score data for Spring and Fall 2017 testing data. All district- and school-level users will be able to view their students' printed score reports through the NMAPA portal at http://nmapa-portal.org/. On the "Test Coordinators" page, click the Online Reporting System (ORS) system link.
     
    Users will log in using the same username and password they use for TIDE. For any questions, users should consult the ORS User Guide, which will be posted on the NMAPA portal in the Resources section.

  • The Fall 2017 NMAPA test materials are due to arrive in districts Monday, September 11. DTCs are responsible for verifying the materials received in the district box(es) against the District  Security Checklist and distributing test materials to the STCs or TAs. STCs and TAs are likewise responsible for verifying that materials for each TA match the School Security Checklist. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to the STC and DTC.
    Please keep in mind that all NMAPA test materials are secure and must be kept in a securely locked area when the test is not being administered.

    If you find your district has insufficient test materials, the DTC can order more test materials during the additional ordering window, which opens Monday, September 18.

  • TIDE Initial Ordering Window Open

    The Fall 2017 NMAPA initial ordering window is open beginning Tuesday, August 1st. This window will close Monday, August 28th. Within these four weeks, District Test Coordinators will need to access the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) ordering system to place their NMAPA test material orders for the upcoming administration. Visit the Test Coordinators page on this portal and click the TIDE button to access the site.

    In Fall 2016, TIDE switched over to a new hierarchal system, containing both district users and school-level users like School Test Coordinators and Test Administrators (TAs). Starting in 2017, all TAs need access to TIDE, regardless of whether or not they plan to take the Fall 2017 TA training. TA accounts can be created by District Test Coordinators or School Test Coordinators.

    If a district did not administer the Spring 2017 NMAPA and therefore did not log into the new TIDE, the District Test Coordinator will need to contact the New Mexico Help Desk in order to receive a password reset to their email to log in to the system and set their new password.

    TA Training and Certification

    The Online Test Administration Training course will be accessible through the NMAPA Portal starting August 28. If a Test Administrator attended the NMAPA training within the last two years, they will not be required to take the training for this administration. The training will help experienced TAs, however, by providing a refresher on how the assessment is delivered.

    NOTE: Test Coordinators must add all their TAs into TIDE in order for them to access this training.
